SWEET SLEEPING @ PODERE PERELLI

There are few things in the world that induce that spring-vibe-y-frolic-in-a-field-throw-your-arms-in-the-air feeling. I'm fairly certain that the sun setting over a meadow of poppy flowers in Tuscany is, in fact, one of those things.

But, what about WAKING UP to that too?

(with the sunRISE, obv.)

Enter Podere Perelli...Agriturismo extraordinaire.

A Tuscan B & B perched overlooking the rolling hills painted from your actual dreams and two hilltop villages for your strolling pleasure...if you can bring yourself to leave, that is.

Every authentically rustic Tuscan detail you can think of on the grounds of a restored working farm, producing one of your favorite Italian delights...olive oil.

Oh, and the swoon worthy patio. That too.

DETAILS…DETAILS

Once you get over the views (and you won't), your Italian abode awaits to 'color-you-impressed'. With both rooms, and 2 bedroom apartments available, there's plenty of space to marvel at the antique-y vibe they've got going on.

Italy2.jpg

Cobblestoned walls, Italian tiled floors, and classically Tuscan wood beamed ceilings. You are literally surrounded by rustic charm.

Slumber in an Italian nook.

Coffee-up like Italian royalty. And stuff your mouth with morning pastries unlike a royalty.

And, for the love of the Italian gods,

SIT. ON. THAT. PATIO.

A palatial patio overlooking rolling hills upon rolling hills dotted with cypress tress, a valley that fills itself with sunrise fog, and twin-like medieval villages that will patiently await you to stroll their gorgeous lanes after you've finished your morning coffee.

THAT VIEW THOUGH…

Italy7.jpg

The pristine pool isn't going to swim in itself.

Not a swimmer; more of a lounger?

Shan't be a problem with these views.

Italy8.jpg

Did I mention the pool?

Italy9.jpg

Perch yourself in a painting and sip...well, anything, really.

What a wake up.

Trade your bed covers for blankets of the fog kind.

WHAT TO DO…WHAT TO DO

Pack the drool bucket...you're gonna need it.

Wildflowers 101.

Italy12.jpg

May is poppies season and it did NOT disappoint.

You know you wanna frolic.

Sunset romping in impossible beauty.

Um, eat, obviously.

That's what you DO in Italy.

Pasta, pizza, gelato is my favorite trifecta...but you can create your own, with Italia delicacies galore.

In the villages you can see from Podere Perelli, I suggest checking out Il Cercio Delle Streghe (pictured above), and Le Rocche (I ate there twice. One time I consumed an entire pizza...by myself.)

Town strolling.
Besides the nearby villages of Castiglione d'Orcia and Rocca D'orcia, the town of San Quirico d'Orcia is worth a stop n' stroll. Plus, they've got a solid gelato shop, so, sold.

Sunrise seeing.

Stay dreaming whilst absorbing pure dawn

Best part is, this was from the Podere porch.

Yeah, I took this in my PJ's.

Roam the roads.

Taking a mini Italian road trip is the best way to stumble upon scenes like this:
